Environmental Education Leader and Teacher Training Workshops – As a facilitator for Wild BC, Lee-Anne delivers full and half day workshops for curriculum based environmental education materials ranging from Project Wild, Climate Change, Water Stewardship, Grizzly Bear Biology to Wildlife Trees. Workshops are of interest to teachers, post secondary institutions, girl guides/scout leaders, park interpreters, nature centres, youth camps and resource agency staff.

Training for the Hospitality/Tourism Industry – Is there a ghostrider in Fernie? What was that huge bird I saw dive into the river? Why does Fernie get so much snow? Where can I get sushi? Fernie Nature Tours customizes hospitality training programs to enhance staff knowledge of Fernie’s natural and human history as well as general information on the community and services available for visitors.
Cost: $50/hour + $5 per participant for 10 or less employees, $3 per participant if over 10. Includes narrative, handouts, and audiovisual presentation.

Training for Guides/Interpreters – Lee-Anne is one of 12 professional trainers offering the national association of Interpretation Canada’s Training Modules designed for people working with visitors connecting them to our natural and human heritage. Modules offered include: Interpretive Principles and Planning and Presentation Skills (guided walks, prop talks, demonstrations, storytelling, audio-visual presentations).
