Fernie's Feathered Friends Fernie is a fabulous place to explore birds of the Rocky Mountains. See American dippers, great blue herons, bald eagles, long-billed curlews, hummingbirds, Western tanangers and pileated woodpeckers to name a few. Learn the lore behind the birds. Maximum 6. Pickup at 7:00 a.m. Offered May, June, August and September

Rocky Mountain Wildflower Wander – Join long-time, local interpretive naturalist Lee-Anne Walker for a leisurely wander through spectacular meadows of Rocky Mountain wildflowers. Identify flowers and learn about native and pioneer uses of plants and their link to modern medicinal cures. This gentle guided hike is through a variety of areas where the flowers are at peak from Mount Fernie Provincial Park to local ridges and meadows. Offered June and August. Departs at 7:00 p.m. Minimum: 2 people

Life at the Top of the World -
To live life at the top you have to play hard, love fast and be tough as nails. Take the Timber Express to the alpine to discover what it takes to survive at the top of the world. Fascinating plants and hardy animals are up for the challenge, are you? Enjoy a gourmet picnic before a guided hike through moderate terrain and down to the base area. Offered August 7-15. Departs at 4:30 p.m.
